Audio Visual Installation Engineer
Image Supply Systems is a leading provider of professional audio visual and conferencing solutions serving Irish and international markets.
Due to expansion we are currently looking for an Audio Visual Installation Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in AV and video conferencing installation.

Summary
The Audio Visual Install Engineer is responsible for the installation, setup, and configuration of audio-visual systems and equipment in various environments. They work as part of a team to ensure that AV solutions are implemented efficiently and meet the specific requirements of clients. The role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of audio, video, and control systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
- AV System Installation: Install and mount audio-visual equipment, including displays, projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, cameras, and other AV components, following project plans and design specifications.
- Cable Management: Run, dress, and terminate AV cables neatly and efficiently to ensure a clean and organized installation.
- Equipment Configuration: Set up and configure AV equipment, control systems, and signal routing to enable seamless communication between devices.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct rigorous testing and troubleshooting of AV systems to identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.
- Calibration: Calibrate audio and video systems to achieve the desired audio quality, color accuracy, and image clarity.
- Rack Building: Build and organize AV equipment racks with proper ventilation and cable management for efficient and reliable operation.
- Documentation: Create detailed documentation of the installation process, including system configurations, cable schedules, and any modifications made during installation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with AV designers, project managers, and other team members to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
- Training: Provide training to clients and end-users on how to operate and maintain AV systems effectively.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to safety regulations and protocols while working on AV installations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Upgrades and Updates: Stay informed about the latest AV technologies and industry trends, and recommend upgrades or updates to existing systems to improve performance and functionality.
- On-Site Support: Travel to project sites as needed to oversee the installation process, troubleshoot issues, and provide on-site support.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in AV system installation and integration.
- Strong understanding of audio-visual equipment, including audio processors, amplifiers, displays, projectors, cameras, and control interfaces.
- Knowledge of AV connectors, terminations, and signal flow.
- Familiarity with AV control systems and programming is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret AV system drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration within the team and client interactions.
- Physical ability to work in various environments and to assist with the movement of equipment when required.
- May suit part qualified/ qualified electrician with site experience.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
- A full clean driving license is essential for the position.
- All candidates must speak English fluently.
Desirable
- Familiarity with Crestron, Extron and QSC technology is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Teams and Zoom room solutions is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of IT and networks desirable.
Terms
- Permanent, full time
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday excluding public holidays
